Motorola Moto g power

I just went through ALL the hoops to connect this phone so I thought I would share. It is compatible (on it now posting this) but the sim card u need is the 416TQ . All the stores around me don't have it... BUT.. BEST BUY DOES.

But it works now .. took 4 stores and 6 hours to get it to work. Boost has to update the system..the fix is the sprint boost card 416TQ . the only card that works on this factory unlocked phone

Make sure it's the 416. TQ. . and most stores don't have it...I had to go to bestbuy...and tell them it's a "sprint" card (they don't use boost in store so they won't help if u say boost) and I had to have store activate phone. Another I was helping couldn't do it himself. He went to a store.

Hello, @indigomoonchild. Thanks for contacting us. We'd like to take a look at this. What seems to be the problem with the phone and SIM card? Where did you buy the phone?

I apologize, I don't have an issue at this time. I'm trying to avoid one. I bought my new phone from Amazon. It's unlocked and I'm just trying to make sure that when I take it to the store, or activate it online, I'm given the correct sim card for the phone. I'm currently with Boost and have been for years, but it was time for a new phone.

Thank you!

Sorry for the issues, but glad you posted. I just bought the Moto G Power, and due to card issue, thought I might have to change my carrier. So, would you recommend I go to my local Boost store? I'm wondering if I should call them first and discuss card issue to make sure they have the 416 available...??

Thanks!!!

Thanks Redmnm!
Frank, I will do that as soon as I can. Due to living in apt, I had it sent to a friend's house. So as soon as I have it in hand, I'll check.

Thank you!!

Anybody have information? I'm in the same boat as indigo above, bought unlocked through amazon, of course my ancient virgin card wasn't going to work, but I was not expecting the amount of fiddlyness this phone has taken to activate. I was advised in store of the fabled 416TQ (looking back, I'm sure the employee looked up this thread). I was also told I could NOT use a expanded network card. I have tried tracking down the 416TQ everywhere to no avail, until I took the chance at ebay. I purchased a SIMGLW416TQ, as there was that or SIMOLW416TQ, and the GL was the only one I had seen mentioned anywhere in relation to the g power. Plus the OL looked like it was marketed more for apple devices, so I went for the GL.

It showed up today, tried activating, no luck. I was told the card is not compatible by support chat, and that I need an expanded network card. I tried to get a part number on the sim card, but I was given "a different number the employee can use to look up the card" MO20414BYAB1 - not sure what number that is as my post is about to be the first google result for such a string. So yeah... clear as mud at this point...

So, to anyone lucky enough to have their G power activated already, can you please do me a massive solid and check the credit card sized piece of plastic that your sim card was punched out of, and let me know the whole part number of the sim card?
